How OperSuite collects, uses, and protects data for Operimage and operAtlas.

Updated: 2026-06-25Product: Operimage

1. Data We Collect

Website lead forms may collect name, email, locale, and marketing consent.

License systems may store purchase email, license status, activation metadata, and audit logs.

2. Local Processing

Operimage image processing runs locally on your Mac; images are not uploaded to cloud for processing.

License validation and portal access require network calls to the OperSuite license API.

3. Screen Recording & Screen Capture (operAtlas)

operAtlas, the OperSuite menu-bar translation and text-recognition (OCR) app, requests the macOS Screen Recording permission for a single purpose: to capture a screen region that you explicitly select, so the app can recognize the text inside it and, optionally, translate that text.

What is captured: only a transient still image of the specific screen area you choose at the moment you trigger a capture (for example, using the screen-OCR shortcut, or while the optional Pro live-overlay translation is active). operAtlas does not perform continuous or background recording, and it never captures audio.

How it is used: the captured image is processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Vision (text recognition) and Translation frameworks. Only the resulting recognized text is placed on your clipboard and, if you enable the optional History feature, stored locally on your own Mac under your control.

Storage & retention: the captured screen image is held only in memory for the brief moment needed to recognize its text and is then immediately discarded. operAtlas does not write the captured screenshot to disk and does not retain any screen recording data.

Sharing & disclosure: screen recording data is never transmitted off your device and is never shared with OperSuite or any third party. There is no server-side processing of captured images, and operAtlas does not use this data for analytics, advertising, or any purpose other than the on-device text recognition and translation described above.

4. Purpose of Processing

We use data for download delivery, license management, support, security, and product communications (if consented).

We do not sell personal data.

5. Retention & Security

Data is retained only as needed for operational, legal, and accounting obligations.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect stored data.

6. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data where legally applicable.
